Yesterday’s magic markers were so fun, I couldn’t help but use them again today. There’s a lot of possibility with them and no more worries about accidentally filling in something that should be white… I’m definitely going to be playing around more with these. #magicmarkers #marvinsmagicmarkers #30daysof #30daychallenge2020 #30daysofnudibranches #30daysofnudes #30dayartchallenge #nudibranches #nudibranch #nudi #seaslug #seaslug #howitwasmade #animated #transformation #funtomake #progressinaction Your browser does not support the video tag.

Magic markers are fascinating to work with. I layered some different colors with this one, really not knowing what would come out. You can see the before and after pictures, a lot happened with that magic marker and the fine tip pens and sharpie background at the end make this one one of my favorite nudibranches so far! #30daysof #30daychallenge2020 #30daysofnudibranches #30dayartchallenge #30daysofnudes #nudibranches #nudibranch #nudi #seaslug #seaslugs #magicmarkers #marvinsmagicmarkers #transformation #experiment ...

Don’t know why this one looks so menacing… It’s just a bunch of lumps and bumps on a blobby body slugging its way through the day. But something about it just makes it seem evil? Last one on the road, tomorrow I return home to my usual arrangement of art supplies! This is the 20th #nude out of 30. Thanks to everyone who has been following me since the beginning of the month! ...

Haven’t had any internet connection all day while on the road! But better late than never, here is a strange iridescent seaslug to light up your feed. #30daysof #30daychallenge2020 #30daysofnudibranches #30dayartchallenge #30dayartchallenge #30daysofnudes #seaslug #seaslugs #nudi #nudibranches #nudibranch #sharpieart #sharpiepens #weirdanimal #funcolors

This magnificent #nudi is called the Flamingo Tongue… It reminds me of a mushroom. But then with leopard spots and tiger stripes. The Doughnut Nudibranch! I’m on a trip and have limited time and art supplies to make nudibranches. I’m still very determined, though, to post one a day. Let’s see how this goes. #30daysof #30daychallenge2020 #30daysofnudibranches #30daysofnudes #nudibranches #nudibranch #seaslug #seaslugs #donut #doughnut #micronpen #blackandwhite #finedetail

From the top, you seem like just another #colorful #seaslug. But lift up those flaps and the truth is told: you’re actually a #Pokemon! With seemingly random dots and markings, #nudibranches can all of a sudden transform from #slugs to #magicalcreatures with huge personalities! #30daysof #30daychallenge2020 #30daysofnudibranches #30dayartchallenge #30daysofnudes #nudibranch #nudi #seaslug #reallifepokemon #watercolors

I can only imagine how magnificent this nudi would look in movement… Twisting, turning, curling across the sea floor… I used soft pastels on grayish paper for this one. #30daysofnudes each nudi is special and unique! #30daysof #30daychallenge2020 #30daysofnudibranches #30dayartchallenge #nudibranches #nudibranch #seaslug #seaslugs #nudi #softpastels #fascinating #beautifulslug #graceful #backwardsandforwards

Has anyone here used watercolor markers before? They are such a joy to work with! Normally I stop and let the water dry before moving on to a neighboring color. This time, though, because I decided to film it for a speedlapse video, I just continued to apply water until it was done. The result is a lot of colors flowing into one another, which creates a more abstract look. It was already a very abstract drawing of a nudibranch to begin with. ...
