For some reason this nudibranch looks better zoomed out than zoomed in. Combination of watercolor and sharpie, I’m enjoying making the underwater backgrounds for these nudibranches into abstract shapes. Not only are the nudibranches themselves party colors, so is the underwater world they call home. #30daychallenge2020 #30daysofnudibranches #30dayartchallenge #30daysofnudes #nudibranches #nudibranch #seaslug #seaslugs #watercolors #sharpiepens #mixedmedia #sogreen #partyanimal

This nudi is called the Lettuce Leaf Nudibranch. It’s body resembles ribbons. What a gift #30daysofnudes is turning out to be! #coloredpencil #30daychallenge2020 #30daysofnudibranches #30dayartchallenge #nudibranches #nudibranch #seaslug #seaslugs #lettuceleaf #whatisgoingon #isthatreal

#3 made with watercolor and micron pen. Adding the black on top of the watercolors made me feel like I was creating a nighttime sky full of stars. My housemate said it reminded them of a wizard wearing a starry cloak. #30daychallenge2020 #30daysofnudibranches #30dayartchallenge #30daysofnudes #nudibranches #nudibranch #nudi #seaslug #seaslugs #watercolors #micronpen #yellowandorange #finedetail

This nudibranch looks malicious to me. I love it so much. Today’s nudibranch is made with copic marker and I’m really happy with the result. #30daychallenge2020 #30dayartchallenge #30daysofnudibranches #30daysofnudes #nudibranches #nudibranch #seaslug #seaslugs #nudi #copicmarker #malicious #blackandwhite #watchoutforthisone

#30daysofnudes kicks off with this cute green nudibranch, sharpie pen pointillism with soft pastel background. Off to a good start. #30daysofnudibranches #30daychallenge2020 #30daychallenge #nudibranches #nudibranch #seaslug #seaslugs #nudi #30dayartchallenge #pointillism #sharpiepens #sogreen

Pick your colors. Choose your paints, markers, and pencils of those colors. Close your eyes. Apply color to paper. Make it work. This is one of my strangest, and most favorite paintings. It could’ve gone so wrong. But it worked out miraculously well.
